Al Joseph Cruz

Al Joseph Cruz was born and raised in Cavite City. He is a preschool teacher by profession but a Pastor by calling, and is currently an expat working in Shenzhen, China.

Description and symbolism:

The three colors, red, blue and white are taken from the Philippine flag to reflect the Armiger’s nationality. The cross represents Christ and is canting to the last name of the Armiger, Cruz. The lions are a symbol of courage and leadership, while the writer’s quill alludes to the Armiger’s passion for writing and stories.

Blazon: Shield: Tierced per pall Gules, Argent, and Azure two lions combatant each supporting in its near paw a quill counterchanged, in chief a cross pattėe Argent.

Crest: A demi-lion segreant Azure, grasping on its right paw a katana Proper.

Motto: Animo Misericordia (“Courage and Compassion”)
