Description and symbolism:

The eagle symbolizes leadership and strength, and is specifically a Philippine Eagle pointing to the Armiger’s nationality. The golden cross at the heart (core) of the eagle symbolizes the centrality of Jesus Christ in the life and ministry of the Armiger. The cross is gold, alluding to Jesus as victorious and reigning. The shepherd’s staff and rod represent both the Armiger’s lifelong calling as a pastor and the Chief Shepherd of the church, Jesus Christ. They also points to Psalm 23:4, “Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.”

The border collie is a herding dog, a very useful partner for the shepherd in gathering, leading and protecting the sheep. The border collie represents the work of the pastor in relation to the flock (church) and the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
