The eagle symbolizes leadership and strength, and is specifically a Philippine Eagle pointing to the Armiger’s nationality. The shepherd’s staff and rod represent both the Armiger’s lifelong calling as a pastor and the Chief Shepherd of the church, Jesus Christ. They also points to Psalm 23:4, “Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.”
