Jaime Vicente Caliso de Alonzo was born in Sampaloc, Manila and lives in Norala, South Cotabato. The ancestry of the Calisos are traceable back to clans origination from Ibajay, Aklan. Branches of the family continue along Negros and Cotabato. The Alonzos trace their lineage from San Pablo, Laguna with educated assumptions of a linkage to the Alonzo’s of Rizal’s ancestry.

Description and symbolism:

The green field represents nature, as an allusion to the farming heritage on both sides of the Armiger’s
family.

The converging shapes symbolize the conjoining of both sides of the Armiger’s family, and are also an abstract representation of rice stalks. The two rice seeds further recalls the farming heritage of the family, and read as “ka-liso” are canting of the Armiger’s mother’s maiden name.

The sarimanok is a symbol of prosperity and resilience against adversity and its challenges. The hourglass represents this adversity: a symbol of the Armiger’s own challenges turned from impediment to a point of strength.

The motto reflects the Armiger’s personal mission to go out into the world to effect change, no matter how small, and bringing hope wherever he may go.
