Description and symbolism:

The red heart in the center refers to St. Vincent de Paul, source of the Armiger’s second name, and whose feast day is also the Armiger’s birthday.

The red star on top of the heart alludes to the Star of Bethlehem, from which the Armiger’s first name is derived. It also refers to St. Pius X, his favorite saint: the arms of the Saintly Pontiff similarly featuring a star.

The sword-like cross recalls the Archangels, Sts. Michael, Gabriel and Rafael, on whose feast the Armiger received the sacrament of baptism.

The crosier symbolizes San Ildefonso de Toledo, the Patron of the Municipality of Tanay and of the Parish. It honors the place of origin of the Armiger’s family and the parish where he received the sacraments and involvement in the Church. St. Ildefonso also influenced him to have a filial love and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The two fleur de lis commemorate the two mothers in the life of the Armiger: his biological mother, Iris Pagalunan Isulan, and the spiritual mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The colors have attributed meanings for the Armiger: blue represents his piety; white his treasured faith; and red, his devotion to the Black Nazarene of Quiapo.

The motto is taken from the revelation of the Lord to St. Faustina Kowalska.

Blazon: Shield: Azure a crozier and a Latin cross fleury fitchy in saltire, between two fleurs de lis one to dexter and one to sinister, all Or, overall an escutcheon Argent a heart ensigned with a star Gules.

Motto: Iesu in te confido (“Jesus, I trust in You”).

Assumed/granting authority: Assumed, January 6, 2024. Registered, January 10, 2024.
