Description and symbolism:
The azure represents one of the Armiger’s patron saints, St. Pius X. The two estoiles and crescent allude to the arms of St. Francis de Sales, with whom the Armiger shares his birthday. The argent symbolizes the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Mother Most Pure.
The olive branch reflects the Armiger’s desire for peace. The Gules represents his baptismal saint, St. Saturninus as well as the patron of his diocese, St. Ferdinand of Castile. The balance and sword refer to St. Michael, the Armiger’s namesake.
Finally, the motto calls to mind the duty of the Armiger as a Christian to become a witness to the saving truth first proclaimed by our Lord.
