Description and symbolism:

The arms was created in celebration of the Armiger’s fortieth birthday, preserving simplicity in form and meaning. The Armiger dedicates it in honor of his parents, whose example nurtured his devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary. It serves as a constant reminder to remain steadfast in these devotions and live them out through simplicity, perseverance and trust.

The central charge is the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and signifies the focus of the Armiger’s devotion and consecration. The white field represents the resurrection of Christ.

The eight pointed star is an emblem of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Stella Maris, guiding the Armiger towards her Divine Son through her maternal intercession. The blue field is a traditional Marian color, and reflects the Armiger’s devotion and his birth during the month typically dedicated to her Immaculate Heart.

The anchor with crossed swords expresses devotion to St. Philomena, the Armiger’s patron saint since the age of fifteen. The sword represents St. Adrian of Nicomedia, cognominal with the Armiger and whose feast day in the Eastern Orthodox tradition coincides with the Armiger’s birthday. The red field alludes to the martyrdom of both saints.

The motto encapsulates the Armiger’s spiritual identity: a continual journey toward Christ undertaken in total surrender and loving trust.
