Description and symbolism:

The white oak tree is a reference to Arturo Rivera Rodriguez Sr., the Armiger’s late grandfather, bedrock of the family and a pillar of their hometown. The roots are intentionally exposed to reflect the family roots that sustain each member, immovable and strengthened by the soil tended by their ancestors.

The diagonal bend evokes the family’s path of honor. The crescent represents their hometown, Bulan: the name of their home, the dialect of their ancestors. Like moonlight, the crescent suggests a quiet light that guides each member home when lost.

The red acorns are the fruit of the oak – the generations born of Arturo’s legacy. Placed on the golden path, they signify that the children do not walk alone, but on the values the family have defended.

The swallow represents the “free wings” of the family diaspora abroad. A bird of migration, the swallow possesses an infallible instinct for home. No matter how far the family name travels, the heart remains anchored to the moon.

The martlet – the bird that never rests – symbolises nobility of spirit, and evokes the Armiger’s family perpetually in flight towards excellence but rooted in history.

The motto is a reminder to every descendant, that they are free to fly as high as their ambitions allow, provided they never forget the roots that gave them flight.
