Description and symbolism:

The purple field symbolizes leadership, as a color traditionally associated with emperors of the Eastern Roman Empire, with whom the Armiger shares Justinian the Great as patron saint.

The chevron alludes to protection; the Armiger attributes wisdom to the white color.

In chief, the keys are a reference to service and defence of the Church and affirmation of the Apostolic succesion.

In base, the Chi Rho is a sign of Christian submission and worship, while the wreath symbolizes the Armiger’s paying honor to Jesus Christ.

The motto reflects the Armiger’s steadfastness in the face of adversity, with the support of Christ.
