Hart Jed T. Abuda

Hart Jed T. Abuda was born and raised in Cebu City. He is a practicing Roman Catholic, altar server and youth member, currently studying at the University of the Philippines High School – Cebu and seeking to enter a diocesan seminary. His interests include philosophy, sports, music and theology.

Description and symbolism:

A male deer is also known as a hart, and is canting to the Armiger’s given name. The cross signifies service to the Church and is a symbol of his faith.

The two laurel wreaths represent academic and athletic excellent, achievement, triumph and victory.

The embattlement alludes to courage, firmness, trust in God and strength.

To the Armiger, blue represents truthfullness and loyalty, while yellow refers to a positive self esteem.

Blazon: Shield: Or, a hart trippant maintaining over the shoulder a staff terminating in chief with a cross Azure, on a chief embattled Azure two laurel wreaths Or.

Motto: Veni vidi vici (“I came, I saw, I conquered”).
