
Renan Jr. Llanillo Tumulak is a Cebuano living in Tugasan, Guadalupe, Cebu City. He is a Catholic altar server, Archdiocesan campus ministry member, and youth leader. He is taking a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in Social Studies at Cebu Normal University. He is an enthusiast and artists of classical and ecclesiastical heraldry, and member of Escudos Eclesiásticos Philippines. His interests include sciences and philosophy, particularly social sciences, physics, chemistry, metaphysics, logic and theology.
Description and symbolism:
The two sealions refer to the Armiger’s intrapersonal and interpersonal dimensions of self. As the sea lion traces to both sea and land, it represents adaptability. It is also canting to the Armiger’s first name: Renan is derived from Ronan, meaning “little seal” in Irish.
The key represents knowledge and wisdom, needing to be unlocked before gaining its true potential. It alludes to perseverance in the pursuit of truth and education.
The cross is a symbol of faith, and the Armiger’s service, mission and devotion to God and to the Church as a follower of Jesus.
The chevron represents trust in God, pointing above, and also allude to bravery and protection. The fleur de lis refers to the Armiger’s virtue and faith in the Holy Trinity.
The cresset symbolizes the Armiger’s duty as a future educator, to light and guide the way of those he teaches. It also represents the Armiger’s zeal, and care for others and awareness of self and surroundings.
To the Armiger, blue represents truthfulness, loyalty, hope and strength.
Blazon: Shield: Azure, a chevron fleury at the point Argent between in chief two morses haurient combatant, the dexter holding in both forepaws a key and the sinister a Latin cross flory fitchy Or, in base a cresset Or enflamed Proper.
