Ian Carlo Macalisang

Design and emblazonment by the Armiger.

Ian Carlo Lim Macalisang was born in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental and lives in Santa Cruz, Manila. He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently an HVAC contractor.

Description and symbolism:

To the Armiger, blue symbolizes peace, truth and loyalty to God, family and country. The green bar with a gold outline represents loyalty and generosity to the Armiger’s loved ones, who he is willing to defend at all costs.

The three lions allude to the Armiger’s courage at achieving his goals, while the two gold wreaths symbolize achieving the highest successes: “Go for Gold”.

In this emblazonment, the helmet is the type used by Chinese warriors in medieval times, symbolizing the Armiger’s Chinese part of his identity; the colors of the mantling recall his Filipino identity.

Blazon: Shield: Azure, on a bend Vert fimbriated Or between in chief and in base a laurel wreath, three lions rampant Or.

Motto: Deus familia et patria (“God, family and country”).
