Cameron del Rosario was born and lives in Banga, Aklan.
Description and symbolism:
The three roses portray the Trinitarian dimension of the Marian doctrine. Our Lady is endowed with the high office and granted the dignity of being the “Mother of the Son of God” (Luke 1:31, 35); the “beloved daughter of the Father” (Matthew 12:50, Lg, n. 35) and the “Spouse of the Holy Spirit” (Luke 1:35).
The wooden Latin Cross representing Christ’s crucifixion springs forth the stems emulating the letter “M”. In Mary’s maternal role she is closely united with her Son and she helps direct the heart of men towards Jesus (John 2:5). The ten leaves symbolize a decade of Hail Marys which are meant to help the faithful meditate on the mysteries of faith.
For the motto, the word “Rosario” is derived from the Latin “rosarium” or rose garden. It denotes a generational family devotion to the Virgin Mary, under her special title as the “Queen of the Holy Rosary”, constantly seeking her protection and intercession.
