Paulo Antonio L. Aton

Paulo Antonio L. Aton was born in San Jacinto, Masbate to Pio Apalit Aton and Meilan Rejuso Lique. He lives in Bacoor City, Cavite. He is currently a faculty member at De La Salle University Senior High School in Manila, where he teaches Christian Living and Values Education and serves as its service-learning mentor.

He earned his Master of Arts in Philosophy at the Divine Word Mission Seminary in Quezon City; served as the inaugural president of the Graduate Society of Philosophy, the M.A. students’ organization of the Divine Word Mission Seminary); and was a seminarian of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists).

Description and symbolism:

The sun with eight rays is a national symbol and commemorates the eight provinces that first revolted against Spanish rule, which inspires the Armiger’s patriotism and love of country. The stars represent the three main geographical regions of the Philippines. The Philippine eagle represents strength and freedom. The lion’s head symbolizes courage, leadership and nobility; wearing a salakot, it signifies the cultural heritage and identity of the Armiger and the Philippine people.

To the Armiger, red means courage and valor; blue, peace and justice; gold, nobility, prosperity and high ideals; green, hope, joy and love for the land.

The motto reflects the importance of faith and divine protection.

Blazon: Shield: Per pale Azure and Gules, in dexter an eagle displayed, in sinister a lion’s face wearing a salakot, at the honor point a Philippine sun, all between three mullets of five points Or, two upon an chief Vert and one in base.

Motto: Induite vos arma Dei (“Put on the armor of God”).
