Clement Edward S. Bonete was born in Santa Cruz, Manila and lives in Caloocan City. He is the eldest son of his family, and a graphic layout and heraldic designer.
Description and symbolism:
The blue upper portion of the shield with clams, sea lion and gold embattled wall represent the northern district of Santa Cruz, Manila, the Armiger’s birthplace.
The anchored cross is commonly known as St. Clement’s cross, and is thus canting to the Armiger’s first name. Pope St. Clement I was martyred by being tied to an anchor and thrown into the sea – a fate depicted by the wavy line below. It also recalls Monsignor Clem, a former seminarian assigned to the Armiger’s mother’s hometown, who later served as priest and vicar general of the Archdiocese of Manila. The anchored cross is also reflective of the Armiger’s character – dependable, trustworthy and loyal – and emphasizes his strong Catholic faith as he anchors his life in God.
The Lasallian star represents the Armiger’s Catholic education at De La Salle Araneta University in Malabon City, where he completed junior high school. It also recalls his early ministry life as an altar server since the sixth grade. The Lasallian star symbolizes the three virtues established by St. John Baptist de La Salle: faith, service and communion.
In the crest, the triceratops symbolizes protection, guardianship and care, and is the Armiger’s favorite ceratopsian dinosaur. The wheel represents a Jeep, honoring the Armiger’s great-grandfather, Eduardo “Lolo Eddie” Sta. Ana, the eponym for the Armiger’s middle name. The name Edward itself means wealth and prosperity.
