Description and symbolism:

Red represents to the Armiger courage, valor and sacrifice, reflecting his dedication to faith and his community. Red also symbolizes the blood of Christ, further emphasizing his Christian devotion.

The three roses recall the Armiger’s dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the patroness of his parish, Our Lady of Peñafrancia. The palm branches symbolize martyrdom, honoring Sts. Cosmas and Damian, whose feast day falls on his birth date.

The fort is canting to the family name: in Old English, the name Boral can be traced to the words “burh” and “hyll”, meaning “hill with a fort”. To the Armiger, the fort signifies strength, protection and his ancestral roots.

The lion represents St. Mark, referring to the Armiger’s first name, and alludes to courage and leadership. The landmark depicted is the first monument in the Philippines to national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, and further emphasizes his connection to his roots.

The three fish are a symbol of the Holy Trinity, a central tenet of the Armiger’s faith.

The owl grasping a graphic pen in its claw alludes to the many night time hours endured at night by the Armiger as a graphic/layout artist, and recalls his dedication to his craft.

The motto is drawn from Matthew 28:20 and conveys a message of divine guidance and unwavering support.
