Victor Emmanuel Collado Quintos was born in 1980 to Nelson R. Quintos (+) and Teofila Banera Collado in Alcala, Cagayan. The Armiger has two sisters and is the youngest and the only son.

The Armiger felt the call to the priesthood at a very young age. As early as the age of 6, he was already telling his family that he wanted to become a priest.

He began his seminary formation in High School at San Jacinto Seminary, then continued to College (Philosophy) and Theology at the University of Santo Tomas, Central Seminary completing degrees in AB Philosophy (2002), Bachelor in Theology (2005) and Licentiate in Theology and Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology (2008). He received his Masters degree in Liturgy at The Liturgical Institute of the University of St. Mary of the Lake (Mundelein Seminary) in Mundelein, Illinois, USA (2017).

The Armiger traces his love for the Liturgy to his assignment as Liturgy Coordinator in the Seminary. He took up courses in Paul IV Institute in Malaybalay, Bukidnon under the tutelage of the great teacher, Fr. Anscar Chupungco, OSB.

He was ordained priest in January 11, 2009 at St. Philomena Parish in Alcala, Cagayan. After his course in The Liturgical Institute, the Armiger was sent to the Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan City as a Formator and professor in Liturgy (2017-2022). He is now the Pastor of San Jacinto de Polonia Parish in Camalaniugan, Cagayan.

Description and symbolism:

The eagle is a symbol of St. John the Evangelist, the patron saint of the Armiger, who was born on the feast day of the Apostle. The laurel wreath is canting to his given name, “Victor”. The star represents the Star of Bethlehem, alluding to the Armiger’s birthday during the Christmas season, and connects to his second given name, “Emmanuel”.

The book with four gold bookmarks and charged with a cross pattee represents a Missal, symbolizing the Armiger’s love for the liturgy.

The black and white color of the field alludes to the Armiger’s seminary formation under the Dominicans at the University of Santo Tomas and being a solemn professed member of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Dominic.

The red shield on the eagle’s breast refers to the Armiger’s hometown of Alcala in Cagayan, which was originally called “Fulay”, meaning “red”. The five gold roundels are canting to the Armiger’s family name, “Quintos”.
