Description and symbolism:
The design overall represents benevolence, the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, a focus on family, and faithfulness: all essential to the Montefalcons.
The two mountains in base and the falcon are canting to the Armiger’s family name. The falcon further represents vision and freedom, which the Armiger credits to the hard work of his parents in giving him the opportunity for education despite poverty. The falcon is also a symbol of eagerness in the pursuit of an object of desire, which reflects the Armiger’s focus on his goals and objectives.
To the Armiger, blue represents loyalty and truth, both fostered in the family. Silver represents the family’s benevolence.
Above the falcon, the golden cross represents the Armiger’s family’s faith. In the center, it alludes to the presence and importance of God, Jesus Christ to the Armiger’s family. The stars on either side of the cross symbolize the Armiger’s mother and father, providing guidance and hope.
In the crest, the owl symbolizes prudence, wisdom and protection.
The motto describes the family’s pursuit of excellence and quality, facing challenges with courage and endurance through faith, all through the will of God.
