Description and symbolism:

The red lion is a reference to Bishop Antônio de Castro Meyer and to Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, both inspirations to the Armiger in traditional Catholicism; the coats of arms of both clergymen also feature lions. A lion was also used in the coat of arms of Saint Pope Celestine V, one of the patron saints and the namesake of the Armiger. The cross represents the Armiger’s Catholic faith.

The blue band signifies the Armiger’s Marian devotion, while the three cinquefoils stand for the three traditional Mysteries of the Holy Rosary: Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious. These too are inspired by the arms of Archbishop Lefebvre.

The book represents knowledge, wisdom, law and the Armiger’s academic pursuits.

The motto is a meaningful line to the Armiger drawn from Gregorio Allegri’s Miserere (Psalm 51).

Blazon: Shield: Or on a fess Azure three cinquefoils Or between in chief a lion passant guardant Gules bearing in its paws a Latin cross Sable and in base an open book Argent bound Azure.

Motto: Ecce enim veritatem dilexisti (“For behold thou hast loved truth”).
