Description and symbolism:

To the Armiger, the white field symbolizes truth, purity and sincerity. The black double-headed eagle represents wisdom, knowledge and informed decision-making.

The red inescutcheon with tree refers to the coconut farm which has been part of the family for several generations. The lilies are canting to the family name, Flores, as well as having local significance to the Armiger’s home diocese of Lucena.

The black border alludes to Augustinian symbolism, representing the Armiger’s affiliation as a self-practicing layperson under St. Augustine’s rule, and referring to constancy, prudence and sometimes grief.

In the crest, the eagle is a representation of St. John’s eagle, as a symbol of the Armiger as a student and defender of Christ.

The primary motto is inspired by St. Augustine and signifies the Armiger’s pursuit of the Divine and his restlessness for truth. The secondary motto is an inspirational cry to not give up.
